We had a pretty great Halloween yesterday. I seriously can not believe how much candy the boys got just from the houses on our street. I love our little back-of-the-woods neighborhood so much. People really got excited about decorating for Halloween this year. Our neighborhood is so friendly and festive and it made trick-or-treating last night all the more fun. I didn't really decorate for Halloween for our house (and our pumpkins already rotted), and last night I was definitely wishing I had gotten more in to it. So today, I rushed in to Target and snagged some awesome leftover decorations for half the price (also a costume for the boys for only $5! hello, Christmas present!). Now I am already looking forward to next year.
This is the first weekend all month that we don't have a million different things going on. It has been fun going to all of the Halloween parties and such, but I am so ready to relax. I have been under the weather for what seems like weeks, so I definitely need it.
This weekend I am planning on finishing up a couple crochet patterns. One is a variation on an old pattern, and I can't wait to show you guys. The other is one for the kiddos that I have been working on for a long time now. I need to get in gear. And then there's this book...I started reading it right after I saw the movie, Austenland. This book, Midnight in Austenland by Shannon Hale, is another book in the series. It is really cute, and I don't know why I keep putting it off.
Well, that is pretty much it for me this weekend, aside from a little yard work that I am going to do (well...oversee...). I am so excited for the months ahead. We're in the midst of planning a trip to New Hampshire and already getting Christmas presents for the boys! Let the holiday season begin!
